Who We Are

Services

Vision

Our vision represents our dream for what we want to be as a church. It is what we believe God will form us into so long as we are following him. Our vision is to be a church where people find hope and home.  The world can be a hopeless, lonely place. We believe God has placed SCC here to push back against that.

Mission

Our mission is what we are called to do as a church. We believe that if we all live out this mission, we will see our vision come to life. Our mission is to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly; to love people transformationally. Jesus tells his followers to love God with their whole selves and to love their neighbors as they love themselves. So we want to continually devote more and more of our lives to Jesus and to care for people in a way that makes a difference in their lives.

Values

Our values help us put our mission into action. If we are intentional to live them out, our pursuit of Jesus will be more wholehearted and our love of people will be more transforming.

We Value:

Biblical Authority

In His word, God tells us what we need to know to live according to his will. We strive to know it, apply it to our lives, and help others do so too.

Spirit-Filled Worship

God’s Spirit gives us direct access to him. He wants to empower our lives and devotion to Him. We want that too and will seek him for it.

Active Compassion

In God’s kingdom, the greatest are those that make themselves the least - serving others and meeting their needs. We won’t just say that we care about people; we’ll do something for them.

Meaningful Community

God has called his followers to be a family. We live this out by making time for one another, serving one another, and growing together.

Faithful Generosity

God has provided all that we have, and He has entrusted it to us for our living and ministry to others. We will give proportionately to fuel his mission.
